Bárbara returns to Santa Cruz de la Sierra after living and working in Chile. Her family believes she has come back to stay, but her real plan is to say goodbye and obtain a visa to travel to Spain, where she has secured a new job.

However, a serious accident involving her family forces her to change her plans and confront the past, as well as people from her surroundings she had hoped to leave behind.
